I have always been passionate about art and design, studying both fashion and art from a young age. Before studying Fine Art, Business and Textiles at A levels, I was presented with the Stella Rees award in Wales for my high achievements in the Arts. I studied Fashion Design at Swansea University where I completed my Foundation Degree before moving to London to study BA Fashion Contour at London College of Fashion. During this period I worked as a model and experienced both sides of the fashion industry, this has benefited me later on and inspired me throughout my career.
Lingerie empowers women, generates strength and confidence whilst being delicate and refined. The combination of beautiful silks and laces, soft finishes played around with layering and structures excite me. The female body deserves to be adorned in stunning lingerie. I wanted to be the designer with a difference, learn about lingerie, business and technicalities in order to create my own brand and company upon graduation, this is what I have done.
I spend time working as an assistant in Harrods during my degree in the lingerie department, this taught me much about sales, customers, brands, trends and current markets. I worked as an intern at Agent Provocateur during my time at LCF for a short period, this gave me the drive and inspiration I craved to take the leap and pursue my dreams with my own lingerie label, Elizabeth Jones. I have been working on the development of the company for the past year, it has been very challenging, constantly exciting and exhausting. I am looking forward to hard work, perseverance and motivation coming together for my launch this S/S15.
I am influenced by structure, architecture, shape and form of the natural world. There are four ranges in the collection. Elizabeth Jones is luxury; designed for confidant, fashion forward women to wear as outerwear and underwear. The collection is bold, refined, structured and uses pleated silks and Chantilly laces throughout as the primary finish. The colour palate is consists of mink, silvers, ivory and black. Collars, cuffs and garters make up the accessories in the collection, enhancing outerwear.
There are so many talented up coming lingerie designers I love. I would say I am inspired by Nichole de Carle and Bordelle, they both have stunning concepts and creations.
I do not think there is one perfect set, every woman is unique and what suits one body shape will not flatter another. Depending on what inspires the designer, the women they admire and the shape of the women they design for. Lingerie that suits my body is what I find most attractive when looking to purchase lingerie as I am able to see the benefits of the construction, fit and style. I would like to say I have the perfect lingerie sets coming out soon in my collection, but I will let you be the judge of this!
The most important advice I have learned is that passion for what it is you are creating and determination to succeed carve success. It is the belief in yourself, pushing your boundaries and the hard effort you are prepared to put in which determine your fate. Nothing comes easy but working on yourself and anything with your name to it is the best project you can work on in my opinion. Good luck with your collections to those who are launching their own brands.
I am a 26-year-old ambitious young woman with inspiring dreams of becoming a successful lingerie designer and businesswoman. I come from a quiet place in the south of wales and I moved to London in 2009 to peruse my dream. I first entered the lingerie industry as a model and ambassador for young women and teens as Miss Teen Queen UK 2007. I am well travelled and inspired by other cultures, which always influences me when designing.
I have always had a passion for lingerie and a love for creativity. I completed a Foundation Diploma in Fine Art and a BA(Hons) Degree in Fashion Contour where I focused solely on lingerie. Upon graduation I had ambition and ideas to set up my own line of lingerie and turn this into a luxurious, successful business. I graduated in July 2013 and since then I have focused all of my energy and time designing and developing a range of lingerie my brand, Elizabeth Jones London.

The collection will be launched in A/W16. My aim for the next year is to promote the collection and stock both small and large exclusive retailers within the UK. I am excited and optimistic for the brand, I am eager to generate exposure and look forward to the response. The collection will be available online at www.elizabethjones.london
Elizabeth Jones London targets women between 25 and 50 years who are confident and live fast paced lives with the desire for luxury. My view on the modern woman is that women are independent and fabulous no matter what their age; I wish to attract fashion forward women who often purchase garments from designers known for their unique style. The collection also includes a bridal range that is beautiful, delicate and structured.
The collection is hand made in Britain and incorporates tradition British techniques such as the pleated silks. We offer clients the option to work alongside the team, to create bespoke pieces for those special occasions and myself.
I am inspired by architecture, I love illustrating and I enjoy drawing in intricate detail. This reflects in the collection by the structured and textured. I am a perfectionist and have ensured every detail in the collection is to the best standard.
I am leading up to the exciting launch of Elizabeth Jones London where I will introduce my brand to those most influential in the lingerie industry. I am focused on delivering a memorable entrance into the world of lingerie and look forward to the forthcoming months!
